The Raleigh Amateur Radio Society
RARS is the Raleigh Amateur Radio Society. It's a very active ham radio club
of over 300 members in Raleigh, North Carolina. RARS members are heavily
involved in public service and include enthusiasts in nearly all facets of the
hobby. Each summer, a large group of RARS members join together to operate in
field day. This annual event is an emergency preparedness and training exercise
disguised as an operating contest. To learn more about field day, click the link
